aprentas, the leading training association for basic and further training in scientific, technical and commercial professions, has a wide range of offers.

In the area of basic vocational training

• We train around 500 apprentices in 15 different professions
• We have three training centres in Basel and Muttenz (Klybeck, Muttenz and Schweizerhalle)
• We also run three hostels for trainees and apprentices in Basel and Muttenz
• We operate a vocational training school for scientific professions in Muttenz on behalf of the canton of Basel-Landschaft
• We operate a teaching laboratory for laboratory technicians in the subject area of chemistry in Neuhausen am Rheinfall on behalf of the teaching association in the canton of Schaffhausen
• We run a teaching laboratory in Bern on behalf of the Office for Secondary and Vocational Education in the canton of Bern, where around 80 apprentices from more than 20 companies in the Bern region attend inter-company courses for laboratory technicians in the subject areas of Biology and Chemistry

In the area of further vocational training

• Our further training offer covers around 100 courses and seminars
• Upon request, we develop and run customised courses that are tailored to the specific needs of the company in question

And in the area of other services

• We advise and support associations, authorities, vocational training schools and other organisations with planning and implementing projects in the area of basic and further vocational training
• We have an innovative social programme that helps adolescents experiencing difficulties starting an apprenticeship or in working life
• We have been operating the Novartis school laboratory since 2020 on behalf of Novartis, our supporter company
